Pre-workout Supplements After Nose Surgery?

Question

I had septoplasty, rhinoplasty and turbinectomy all at once a few weeks ago. I remember reading a few pre workout supplement labels that say not to use the product up to 2 weeks prior to any kind of surgery, so I made sure not to. Im 3 weeks post-op and I'm not really sure if I should go back to taking any kind of pre workout supplement now since im still healing and have lots of swelling left. Would any of you doctors allow your patients to do so or not? Thanks!

Every surgeon is different with their guidelines. I would recommend speaking with your surgeon regarding what they advise for before and after surgery. There are certain things that we recommend avoiding 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after surgery, which include but are not limited to various herbal supplements, vitamin E, NSAIDS, and ibuprofen. At three weeks after surgery, you should be able to start taking all of you supplements.  I would double check with your surgeon before down this.
