Your cellulite problem is a common one. Fortunately, finally there are effective ways to minimize this problem. Perhaps the least invasive one is Cellfina™. Cellfina is the only FDA-cleared minimally invasive, one-time procedure clinically proven to improve the appearance of cellulite for at least two years—the longest FDA-cleared duration for a cellulite treatment. A straightforward solution to cellulite, Cellfina™, combines a proven approach with innovative, proprietary technology, to produce precise, long-lasting results and has a high satisfaction rating on RealSelf. Together with Velashape 3, a non invasive procedure to help "shrink wrap the skin" and further minimize cellulite as a combination treatment is perhaps your best chance for taking care of this tough problem. Cellulaze is also a possible treatment but much more invasive
FDA Approved For Buttocks and Posterior Thighs
Cellfina is FDA-cleared minimally invasive treatment proven to significantly improve the appearance of stubborn cellulite on thighs and buttocks in just one session. Studies show results last at least two years, which is the longest duration of any cellulite treatment on the market today.
Cellfina and the top of the thighs
Cellfina works very well on cellulite on the buttocks and back of the thighs. The skin there is thicker and the dimples are fibrous bands that can be cut with the device. The front of the thighs can have laxity, thinning, and descent of the skin the causes waves that can look like cellulite but are more horizontal. This type of skin cannot be treated by Cellfina because there are no isolated bands. The problem is unusually thinning skin that is sliding down the thigh. In some cases it can be made better with Cellulaze that can be used to thicken the skin. Sometimes there is thinning and volume loss such that the skin is too lax to treat with any device. Around the knee area I use Sculptra to thicken the skin if the dimpling is isolated to just that area and there is not too much laxity. Sculptra helps to thicken the skin and make it look more even. I hope this helps anser your questions.
Cellulite, Vaser Smooth, Thermi RF, Cellfina, Fat Transfer, Cellulaze, Subcision, Dimpling, Sculpsure, Coolsculpting
Cellfina is an FDA approved minimally invasive procedure that reduces the appearance of cellulite for at least two years on the buttocks and back of the thighs of women.
It works by releasing the internal bands that cause the cellulite dimpling and so we have not seen any fat atrophy. You should not see much of a difference with weight gain or loss but this also has not been studied.
Other areas of the body with dimpling, it is important to make sure it is truly cellulite before treatment.
It is common to have swelling bruising and firmness after the procedure. This can last for a few weeks.
It is different than Cellulaze which is a laser.
If you have had previous poor results with cellulaze, you can still do Cellfina.
Cellfina has shown 100% noticeable improvement and 96% satisfaction in all patients at 2 years.
Cellfina is designed to be a one time procedure.
It can be used on women with all skin types but caution should be taken if theres a history of keloiding.
It can also be combined with other treatments such as Thermi or
Ulthera if skin tightening is needed.
We have done Sculpsure and Coolsculpting if fat reduction is wanted, but its best to wait 3 months to see the results before proceeding.
It can also be done at the same time as other procedures such as liposuction and BBL or as a stand alone procedure in the office.
Since Cellfina outcomes can be based on technique and experience, please see a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes body contouring to see if Cellfina or other treatments are available to meet your goals.

Thank you for your question. Cellfina is indicated for dimple cellulite on the buttocks and thighs. The clinical trials involved the back of the thighs, however in real world use it is being used on the lateral and anterior thighs with caution. It is necessary to make sure that you are actually treating dimple cellulite and positioning the Cellfina apparatus/blade parallel to the thigh. Regards, Dr. Matt Elias
Cellfina should be used cautiously at the anterior and inner thighs
Cellfina is FDA cleared for treatment of cellulite on the buttocks and thighs. In the clinical trials that established its safety and efficacy, Cellfina was tested on cellulite dimples on the buttocks and on the back of the thighs. The safety and efficacy of Cellfina treatment on the front and inner thighs has not been tested in clinical trials. The primary concern with the front and inner part of the thighs is that these areas are often affected not so much by the typical deep dimples of cellulite but rather by waviness and shallow dimples caused more by generalized skin laxity.
Occasionally true cellulite dimples may occur at the front or inner thigh. In such cases, treatment of the localized areas with Cellfina will likely be safe and yield results comparable to treatment of the posterior thigh. I have treated anterior thigh dimples in a number of patients in my practice with no complications and results similar to those of other treatment areas in the same patients. In cases of generalized waviness or shallow dimples involving large areas of the front or inner parts of the thighs, Cellfina treatment should probably be avoided or at least applied judiciously. The same holds true for similar irregularities involving larger continuous areas of the buttocks and posterior thighs. More advanced applications like these would best be performed by doctors with significant experience using the Cellfina system. These types of changes may be better treated with skin tightening procedures, performed alone or in conjunction with Cellfina. I suggest that you have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who offers all of these services and who is experienced in body contouring procedures.
Best of luck.
Cellfina on inner thighs and front of thighs?
Cellfina is most effective in releasing dimples on the buttocks and thighs. This typically involves the side and back of the thighs. If it is used in other areas, be sure the area being treated is cellulite and not something else such as waviness of loose skin.
Cellfina indicated for buttocks and thighs
Cellfina is FDA-cleared for the treatment of dimple like cellulite areas of the buttocks and thighs. In general, on the thighs, these are located on the back and side of the thighs. Occasionally, some areas on the front of the thighs may be treated. However, generally speaking, caution should be used in treating the inner thighs as that areas is less forgiving.
Cellfina is FDA cleared to improve the appearance of cellulite for two years. Thighs are a common area affected by cellulite and there are a variety of treatments available. To determine your candidacy I would recommend to seek an experienced physician who offers Cellfina as well as alternative treatments for fat reduction, body contouring, and cellulite. Depending upon your expectations and candidacy Cellfina could be an excellent option for you.

Cellulite Treatment Options
is a treatment to get rid of dimples. What it doesn't do, is get rid of ripply
cellulite. The kind where you stretch your hand up, on your thigh and it looks better. So although Cellfina is a great answer for dimples, you may do better with a treatment
just cleared by the FDA the end of last year. Thermi250 this is a non invasive
tightening treatment that may slim as well. Take a look at my
article in the Nov. 2015 issue of JDD. For our patients at Key
Laser, the answer may be Cellfina alone, for others Thermi250 alone, but for most combining a series of Thermi250 for cellulite and Cellfina for cellulite dimples will be the best option.
