With time, can bone grafts be used to fully restore bone levels around one's teeth?

Is it possible to restore the bone around the teeth with multiple treatments that slowly build back bone across teeth?

Increasing Bone Support

Whereas in some instances, bone can be grafted and placed in order to build up bone, it cannot be done in order to build up bone height across teeth. If there is a defect (hole) around a tooth, the bone can fill up to the height of the defect. Bone can't be placed on top of bone in order to gain more support for a tooth or teeth, even if it's done a little at a time.
