Yes, this can be typical. It can take a few weeks for skin to settle. I recommend following up with your Doctor about appropriate after care. Keep in mind, it will take a series of treatments with laser tattoo removal. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

It is not unusual to have scabbing or blisters after tattoo removal. It should be treated as a wound.Keep it clean and watch for infection.  Your provider should have discussed wound care after your procedure-if not, call them and discuss what you should be doing.

It can be quite normal to have some crusting and sometimes blistering after a laser taboo treatment.  It is important to treat this as a wound, keep it clean and moist according to your doctors recomendation and not to pick, scratch or immerse in hot tub or swimming pool until healed.  Between treatments we recommend massage several times per day with a good quality medical barrier cream such as Epionce to restore skin health and quality.  We do not treat before 8 weeks for this reason.  If your practitioner is experienced there is little risk of hypopigmentation with the correct wavelengths for the ink colors with appropriate settings.

Scabs and a burn like appearance often happen after tattoo removal. protect from the sun and don't pick at it. give it time and the color will usually return. the Picosure laser is the best laser since it cuts the number of treatments needed by halfdavid berman md
