So many technologies out there but which liposuction system is best for my Brazilian Butt Lift?

This is an excellent question Garza as energy-based systems of liposuction such as PAL, Vaser, etc. will destroy the fat cells.

Although I love my PAL (power-assisted liposuction) system for traditional liposuction and for tough fibrous areas such as the flanks, lower back rolls, etching and gynecomastia in males, I use my standard liposuction system (SAL - suction-assisted liposuction) for the Brazilian butt lift.  I use 2 and 3mm cannulas and I scale down to the minimum the force of vacuum.  It ensures a maximum amount of harvested healthy fat cells.

I also use the tumescence solution but a recent study indicates to put a lesser amount of it - which I do now - to maximize the cell survival.

Then the fat needs to be injected carefully and meticulously.  Art and precision and a no-rush approach is crucial in obtaining a stable result.

Hope this helps!

You can use almost any type of liposuction to harvest the fat for lipo. I prefer to use traditiontal or PAL.

Thank you for your question. The transfer of fat is like planting a garden. Seeds must be evenly placed in the ground so that they have the best chance of germinating in becoming a plant. If you place all the seeds in a hole, they will not survive. This is not the seeds fault. Even under ideal circumstances not all seeds will germinate so there will be some loss. Fat transfer is analogous to this concept and so preservation of the fat is important. Although methodologies do very, it has been thought that the ideal seed size is approximately 2 millimeters which is about a 16th of an inch. Harvesting the fat and then placing it as millions of seeds throughout the area to receive it is technique dependent and probably varies significantly among different surgeons. I would suggest that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in fat transfer. Please see the attached a video that details concepts of fat transfer. I hope this helps and have a wonderful day. Dr. Kaiser - Detroit

You do not want to damage the fat cells.  Therefore, energy based forms are not used.  Tumescent liposuction or traditional is reasonable.

Thank you for your question. Standard liposuction with tumescent fluid is used for BBL. Seek a plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of these procedures, has great reviews and photos, and is an expert in this field.

Liposuction method

Thank you for your question. The best liposuction method is the traditional tumescent procedure to harvest the fat. It is the one with the least trauma to the individual fat cells. The enhancement or BBL works best with the reverse pump technique which achieves the most longevity (average of 70-75%)

Type of Liposuction for a bbl...

It generally depends on the physician performing the procedure and the techniques that they prefer but the best liposuction procedure would be either traditional or power assisted liposuction. Laser or smart liposuction should not be used because the fat is melted and would not be useful to inject afterwards.
