How can scar tissues tethered to muscle be loosened after explant? How can muscle distortion and movement be fixed?

I had breast implants under muscle (insicion in crease) removed after only 1 month. Capsule removal not required. About 6 months later right incision has pulled upward into breast, causing an inch of unevenness in crease lines symmetry. I was told massage would help loosen scar tissues, it hasn't. Can scar removal procedure help loosen thethered scar tissues attached to muscle? Also how to fix muscle distortion/movement? Not interested in fat grafting. Costs associated with such procedure?

Thank you for sharing your question. Unfortunately without a series of photographs demonstrating the irregularity it is difficult to offer advice.  I would advocate giving your scars time to mature (one year since last surgery) and then entertain either a surgical scar revision or subcision of the scar.  Hope this helps.

It sounds that you have a contracted scar which is pulling your skin inwards and upwards into the breast. This is an easy fix and can be removed by cutting out only the old scar and bringing together edges of normal skin. Muscle contraction deformity repair will depend on the cause and location of the muscle distortion. If there is a significant tethering scar, then the scar should be removed or cut. Other options would be to use a allograft or fat grafting to create a gliding plane between the muscle and skin to minimize any contraction deformity.It is best to have an in-office evaluation to determine which treatment plan is most effective for your breasts.
