The screw fell out of my 2 yo implant while wearing temporary denture - Should I stop putting the adhesive over the implant area

I have an implant that had been in for a couple of years, no crown on it yet, I have been wearing a temporary denture and using adhesive. Should I stop putting the adhesive over the implant area? I just woke up and the screw was in my mouth, i screwed it back in.
