In a subnasal lip lift, how does the length of skin removed correspond to the increase in red lip show? Is it 1:1?

If I have 6 mm of skin removed, would I have an additional 6mm of red lip show? Doesn't seem so in before and after pics, but then it's hard to tell. If not 1:1, can you give me an approximate ratio?

Subnasal Lip Lift

In a subnasal lip lift the ratio is about 50% increase in vermilion show for the skin that is removed at the base of nose. It is most certainly not 1:1.
