Botox and Plastic Surgery Can Make You Look Better and/or Younger
There is no single answer to that question. Some procedures, such as Botox injections, make you look “better” and “more rested,” as the treated areas will be smoother and more youthful. How many years that “takes off” will vary by the perceiver. For more extensive work, such as surgical facelifts, some people report looking and being told they look as much as 10 years younger. However, no procedure can turn back the clock entirely. One issue that plastic surgery can't address is bone loss, which occurs as a natural part of aging. So a 70-year-old, for instance, will not look like a 30-year-old, no matter how much work is done. The aim in any plastic surgery procedure – whether Botox, fillers, or surgery – is to make you look the best you can be at this moment in time: healthy, rested, rejuvenated and with a unique beauty that looks natural, balanced and harmonious. I hope this helps.
Cosmetic surgery and turning back the clock
There are many techniques to rejuvenate - non-surgical and surgical. The goal is to help you look better - more vibrant, less tired, more confident, and have a more cheerful expression. Patients often feel they they have turned back the clock more after combination treatments rather than any single treatment. Often, Botox, fillers, skin tightening and laser treatments are combined. This is especially true if the patient is at the earlier end of the aging process, are non-smokers and so not have significant sun damage. As the signs of aging progress, more invasive surgical techniques are necessary to achieve rejuvenation, although Botox, fillers and resurfacing procedures continue to be important and enhance the results of a facelift or other surgeries. Nevertheless, the results of plastic surgery, too, are more impressive in patients who do not have advanced aging.
Impressive results can be seen without surgery
Thank you for your question adrian23. It is important to distinguish plastic surgery from minimally-invasive non-surgical treatments such as Botox, fillers, and laser treatments. Some of the differences include general anesthesia, recovery time, results, and investment. Also the difference in appearance depends on the person who is looking at the photographs. I have had patients who say they look 5 years younger after cosmetic treatments but their friends say they look 10 years younger. With a combination of the newest treatments impressive results can be seen without surgery. Please consult with a doctor for specific
recommendations. Good luck!
How Much Younger Can Plastic Surgery Make you Look?
The answer to you question obviously depends on how a patient looks before treatment, how old they are, and what procedures are used. I usually tell a patient they will look more rested, not necessarily younger.
Procedures to make you look younger
Your question can't really be answered. Results of any procedure depend on both patient and surgeon characteristics and are widely varied across the board. Seek out a board certified surgeon who can go over an individual plan for you. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. The adage that "plastic surgery can make you look 10 years younger" is not a steadfast rule. It is individualized based on the procedure and the patient. Overall, facial plastic surgery is designed to make you look younger, however, the aging effects of time will continue to take effect. Please consult in person with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to discuss other injectables and lasers. Best wishes,
It is not possible to answer your question. Plastic surgery does not always make someone look younger, but fresher, more relaxed etc. it all depends on the age of the patient, the procedures involved and the skill of the doctor
Were you really expecting to get answers with any specifics in them? clearly any procedure's outcome depends on the patient's existing condition and goals. How much thinner can diet make you on average? Individuals from theirs 20's to their 80's are treated with various anti-aging techniques. There is no average. It is highly individualized.
Hello and thank you for your question. This depends on many factors and it truly based individually for all patients. The best advice you could receive would come from an in-person consultation. Make sure you
specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have
had the procedures you are interested in performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The
most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I
recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic
surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
Best wishes and good luck.

What's possible with cosmetic procedures
Thanks for your question. In general, you can expect results in proportion to the amount of effort that you're willing to put in. It's kind of like with exercise.Professional grade skin care can work as maintenance but won't really take years off.Botox will smooth superficial wrinkles. Fillers can make a big difference with minimal down time. But they will only work to a point. Lasers will make your skin look better but won't do much to turn the clock back a lot.A well-done face lift can take 10 years off of your appearance. Ideally you'd look like you got more sleep or a new hair style. However, if you had a twin, and you had surgery and your twin didn't, you'd always look better than your twin. The aging process would continue and usually after ten years you'd be back to where you were before your lift.Hope this helps. Aging face strategies need to be tailored individually based on their tissues and what bothers patients the most. Good luck.
