It can take at least 3 months for the swelling to settle down, results are best seen at 3-6 months and even 12 months. Continue wearing a compression garment but you need to just give it time to settle down.
It is normal to swell to a certain extent in the areas that surround the liposuction because of local movement of the fluid. It its also common to have generalized swelling because of the fluid shift that is occurring globally. All of this will resolve. Some in the first few weeks, some over 6 months. It is too early to judge the outcome. You may be doing too much. If you exercise and the swelling gets worse, you need to give it more time to heal. If you can do cardio with no additional swelling, then burn calories and be patient. It will take at least 6 months to see the final results.
Post liposuction and tummy swelling
After liposuction and tummy tuck swelling is expected. It can typically last any where between 3 to 6 months sometimes seeing the final results in a year. I recommend my patients wear their compression garment during this time as it will help with the healing and swelling. But remember to discuss these concerns with your surgeon as he knows you best.

Recovery after liposculpture surgery
The postoperative discomfort varies from patient to
patient. Swelling develops during the
first few days, making the areas temporarily look fuller. About 80% of the swelling dissipates after a
month, for some it can take 3 months. Now that you’re about to reach the 3rd
number of recovery, most of the swelling should have gone down.
The compression garment plays a major role in
limiting the swelling and is best worn for at least a month. Two weeks after surgery, spandex (i.e.,
cycling shorts or an aerobics outfit) can replace the compression garment and
can even be alternated with the spandex when you need to launder the
compression garment. Whichever item of
clothing you decide to wear, keep in mind that too loose is better than too
tight. The post-op result will be the
same whether you wear a compression garment or not, its main benefit is that it
helps the swelling to subside sooner.
On average, how long does swelling after liposculpture and tummy tuck last?
Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided
information as well.. This is the surgical
procedure that revolutionized cosmetic surgery becoming one of the most
performed cosmetic procedures. Subcutaneous tissue or fat is removed in order
to contour the body in a way that is harmonious and pleasing to the senses. It
can be performed in almost all regions of the body such as the neck, chin,
abdomen, back, buttocks, thighs, arms and ankles. Usually done through a small
incision in the skin through which a cannula connected to a vacuum is applied,
it can be performed alone or in combination with other procedures. After
liposuction your body is going to be really swollen for at least 2 to 4 months
after your surgery. It is important for you to wear your compression garment
for at least 6 months, the first 3 months 24/7 and then the last 3 months at
least 12 hours per day for your body get use to not having the faja for so many
time. When you remove it, your body can get swollen and also you can have pain.
Remember to also compress your body to prevent a seroma which is an
accumulation of liquid that has to be drained, it is hard to touch and also
really painful. Bruises are completely normal for almost 3 months from surgery,
that’s why is better for you to use a bruising cream and apply it all over your
body 3 times a day. To prevent bad circulation and swollen legs, use
compression socks. Brazilian butt lift can be performed with the same procedure
and for a month it will be swollen and it will drop a little bit without losing
it’s shape if you use your garment.. If you’re going to perform liposuction on
your inner, outer, anterior, lateral, postetior thighs, be careful and consult
with your surgeon what’s best for you, sometimes we have more extra skin than
fat, that can cause severe sagginess on our legs, which can be only be reversed
performing a thigh lift…
It is very normal to have swelling the first months after the procedure.. it is wise to send us some photos so that we can advise you better. Best of luck

2 months post op, some advices:
Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.
At this point (2 months post-po) the swelling have to be minimal.
To reduce it, I recommend you perform daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the abdomen and wear a postoperative girdle from thigh to the breasts.
