Do I need to stop wearing contacts before I get VICL EVO Visian?

Question

I had a consultation and pre-op exam for visian evo icl. I read online on the FDA site and star surgical site that one should discontinue contact lens wear for 1-2 weeks before the pre-op exam in order to obtain correct refraction measurements. My doctor did not inform me of that. It was also stated in the consent I was asked to sign after I paid the deposit. Im looking for honest advise. The doctor that I chose is one of the top for icl in NYC.

It is of course better to remove the contact lens a few days before the examination. This is really important for measurements.Incorrect measurements can lead to incorrect treatment. It is therefore advisable that you take off your contact lenses at least 1 week beforehand and use your glasses if necessary.
