doctor wrote in op note she "elevated the concha bullosa from the underlying mucosa" for inferior turbinoplasty using straightshot microdebrider 4mm, what exactly is she talking about saying concha bullosa from mucosa is that periosteal plane of dissection as in elevating the periosteum or just submucosal, what is the standard protocol for elevating mucosa, is it periosteal elevation or just submucosa

Concha bullosa is a hollow bone or the abnormal ballooning of the concha bone which can cause partial obstruction of the nose. This can be removed or corrected by dissecting one side of the balloon by elevating the mucosa, then closing it again.
