hello i'm a girl with coarse and fine hair mixture and a skin type 2 or 3. I want to do LHR with diode laser but how can i be sure about the settings of laser hair removal machine if this is right and effective? can a laser machine be operated in some settings which leads to less hair reduction or more needed sessions?

The technician who is performing this procedure will properly assess you and test treat to see how you react to the laser before treating the entire area. LHR will always require multiple treatments as your hair grows in cycles.

Usually, they will not numb you for the very reason, they want to be able to get feedback on yuor tolerance of the pain.  You can easily be burned if the setting is too high or no results if too low.
