Has anyone heard of removing temporalis muscle?

I had a meningioma resection of left sphenoid wing. The temporalis muscle detached after surgery and sits atop my cheekbone. I saw a craniofacial plastic surgeon who recommended partial removal of this muscle and fat pad injections. Thoughts? Risks?

Temporalis Muscle affects your bite.
I would consult a board certified Oral and Maxilllofacial surgeon that specilizes in TMJ problems and get an opinion of what it may do to your bite.
