Am I able to eat right after I got my stitches in my gums removed? Implant and bone graft on my left canine tooth 12 days ago.

I got an implant and bone graft on my left canine tooth area 12 days ago. My stitches are not absorbable. If I get my stitches removed on day 14, will I be able to eat normally/ drink alcohol within 24 hours? Or would that area still have to heal? I have a big event coming up and I want to know if it would be better to leave the stitches in (and eat and drink) or take them out (and eat and drink).
