First, let me say that professionally performed microneedling, which I have been performing for 24 years, is best reserved for treating very superficial skin surface irregularities in texture and color. It is not a particularly effective primary monotherapy for acne scars. (And, as an aside, when micro needling is appropriate, there there is little added benefit, but increased expense and risks of adverse reactions, from the use of RF micro needling). On the other hand, Field Subcisions, which can be performed for the cheeks and the temples, can quickly and easily elevate and smooth these areas and provide sufficient "infrastructure" in new collagen and elastic fiber production to make the field of overlying scars much less apparent. In experienced hands, Field subcisions of both the cheeks and temples should take no more than a total of twenty minutes to perform. Now, a couple of words to the wise. The hard science to support the use of the expensive, fancy-named gizmos out there unfortunately lags woefully behind the heavy marketing hype and social media buzz out there to support their use. So, "buyer beware" when considering these options. And a final word of advice: don't go into any venue asking for a particular "bells and whistles" device treatment because, to your later financial and emotional frustration, you will likely get exactly what you ask for (or get whatever machine the venue just purchased). Hope this helps and best of luck.
