I missed some little hairs shaving. Why did she not remove them before she used the laser?

Question

So I went in to get a Brazilian and i missed some hairs when shaving. She did not shave them before using the laser now they are still there ??? She also did the same thing in my butt. Am I really getting the good care I payed for ? Or should I say something. It also feels like she didn’t even do the whole area

Laser hair removal can take anywhere from 5-7 sessions to see maximum hair loss.  It is not uncommon at all to not see more than 20% hair loss after each session, as the hair needs to be in the growth phase to be affected by the laser.  It is up to the provider if they choose to shave patients or not, your provider may not shave patients.  If you have missed areas shaving and they do not shave there is a good chance they did not treat the area with hair.  If they treat the area with hair it would burn the hair and your skin.  I would reach out to your provider and let them know your experience and ask them.

Thank you for your question. It is up to your provider if they choose to shave patients or not. It typically takes 6-9 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart to see 70-90% reduction in hair growth. You can expect to see about 20% reduction after each session. Please note that annual touch up may be needed to maintain results. I recommend addressing your concerns with your treating physician.
