Number of grafts?

It won’t be very precise to give out a number without examining your donor and recipient hair. To cover the hairline, front, top, and crown you might need 2500 to 3000.  It would be a very long day to extract and place 3000 grafts in one day as patients get a bit restless by the 10th hour.  Typically, we divide it up into 2 days with the majority of grafts placed on day one.  Lastly, we would have to closely evaluate your donor site to see if we even can safely harvest 3000 grafts.

Photos cannot assess if you would be a candidate for surgery. Usually this involves seeing a doctor in person.

Photos cannot assess if you would be a candidate for surgery.  Usually this involves seeing a doctor in person.  What will happen if you lose more of your native (non-transplanted) hair? What would it mean for you to have "proper" coverage?  These are things you need to discuss with your doctor.

How many grafts?

2500 grafts would certainly give you nice coverage with a good result. The question really is whether you have 2500-3000 grafts that can safely be harvested.Your donor density cannot be accurately assessed based on these photos.

Hair transplantation

You asked how many grafts you would need to cover the Class 3 Vertex pattern of balding that you seem to have. Your hair looks very curly and if it is coarse, then the number of grafts might be about 2000 to cover both areas. If your hair is fine, the recommended numbers are higher.
