I ve been told that due to severe bone resorbtion i cant get dental implants that are longer than 8 mm,Even with bone grafts. I am concerned that shorter dental implants may not last as long as normal lenght ones or may fail at some point. Do you think they are a good choice?

Hello
It is possible that the pain is caused by the inflammation of your gums or in its defect the nerve, nevertheless it is necessary to do radiographic studies to determine the cause

Hi there! Sorry for what you're going through. Wait another week or 2 to see if your symptoms resolve. If not, then it may be best to have the tooth extracted and have an implant placed. Implants are great restorations and are a great way to replace missing teeth!
Usually the bone graft gets ossified after about 4 to 6 months. As 4 months are over in your case, waiting for another one to two months for complete ossification is advisable. Then you can go ahead with removal of implant cover and placement of implant post (abutment).
