Teeth do not look or feel bad but have peridontal disease 2-10's. Should I keep my teeth??

Question

Told I have periodontal disease 2-10's and should pull all uppers but I experience no problems at this time. Should I keep as long as possible or could this cause other problems.

It is impossible to answer this question without seeing a current set of radiographs, but assuming you have 10mm pockets you will probably lose some of your existing teeth.  It sounds like you need to consult with a board certified periodontist and allow him/her to give you a recommendation as to what your options are.  Good luck.

I would go slow before exttracting all your teeth.  There are many courses of treatment that can save your teeth (all or some)  The alternatives to your own teeth are dentures, implants or no teeth.  Frequently you can use compromised teeth to support an over denture.  Have more than one opinion before extracting all your upper teeth.
