Hi I have hated my teeth for a long time now also I have had a jaw osteotomy and I don't think it has done much
Answer: Making front teeth smaller. There are a couple of reasons your front teeth 8 & 9 look so large. One is that they are so forward of the lateral incisors 7 & 10. The second reason is that due to very narrow archall of the other teeth are set back and look too small which gives the empty space next to the cheeks. You could do veneers and make 8 & 9 narrower and 7 & 10 larger but that would make the rest of the mouth look worse. 8 - 10 veneers could fill the smile and give a good look but building the smile with that much ceramic has some downsides. If cost is not a concern and you want a very fast result veneers will fit the bill.I would suggest utilizing a DNA Appliance (Epigenetic Orthodontics) to widen the Maxilla and give yourself a full smile. Making more room will let the front two incisors move into the arch. It is a great way to treat you orthodontically with only wearing an appliance 12 - 14 hours / day.Veneers done after the DNA Appliance will lead to far superior esthetic result than going straight to veneers. I am not sure what kind of osteotomy you had done, but I understand why you are unhappy with your current look.Another alternative would be to do Rapid Maxillary Expansion with a surgical assist

Answer: Veneers and crowns would do wonders for you If you are an adult (over 18), I would recommend veneers and crowns. You are likely to need six on the top arch and 6 on the bottom arch. The change would be immediate and permanent. You can pick your tooth color and shade. You would also get a wax up of your teeth prior to the transformation. This wax-up would allow you to see exactly how your teeth will look prior to the completion of the dental work. Veneers are what I do, so "Follow" me if you have more questions about them.Sarah Thompson, DMD
