My Daughter Has White Skin With Dark and Thick Facial Hair Almost Full Chin. Which Laser Treatment Will Help to Remove Hair?

Laser Hair Removal

Thank you for your question. All skin types from fair skinned to dark are potential client’s for laser hair removal. The treatments are performed anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks apart.  The results are noticeable as from the fourth and eighth session of treatment. Remember, you should not wax or tweeze between treatments sessions as the laser targets the hair follicles. Usually alexandrite lasers work best on light skin whereas the YAG laser is meant for more ethnic and tanned skin. I would recommend you find an expert in Laser Hair Removal to assess your skin and hair and determine the best laser treatment for your daughter. All the best!

Best laser treatment for white skin with dark hair

We use the GentleMAX Alexandrite laser by Candela which is ideal for white skin and dark hair. Lasers create a beam of highly concentrated light that penetrates deep into the skin where it delivers a controlled amount of therapeutic heat. This light energy is absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to destroy numerous follicles at a time and leaves the surrounding skin unaffected. Approximately 15-30% long-term hair loss may be observed with each treatment when optimal parameters are used.
