Is it safe to replace a permanent bridge with plastic, temporary teeth for the sake of braces? I'm afraid they won't hold up.
A dentist pulled my two front teeth years ago. Now I need braces. The orthodontist wants to cut the bridge, replacing it with temporary plastic teeth only held in by the braces! I'm terrified of the unknown. Will this cause whistling when I talk? Will there be a space between the gums & the temporary teeth? Will they visibly move when I speak?! Please lend me your advice. It seems they will be very unstable.
