I have a missing tooth and they are saying the only option is an implant. Any suggestions?

I have had braces for almost two years now. I had a baby tooth in the place of my right canine tooth. They removed the tooth and said they were going to close the space. But now they are saying they can't fix it and my only option is an implant. Is there no possible way to close a space like that with out moving my whole mid-line off center?

Replacing tooth without implant.

An implant is an excellent method of replacing a missing tooth but it is also possible to place a bridge.  A resin bonded bridge can be beautiful and not damage the other teeth.

Closing the space orthodontically can create problems with headaches, TMJ , snoring or sleep apnea.
