I'm not a big fan of mini implants except for some limited uses. I think for the upper front teeth, full size implants are the way to go if possible. In order to have dental implants you need enough of the right type of bone in the right places in your mouth. A consultation with an oral surgeon would be a good first step to see what your best options are.
I would not recommend mini implants as they are very small for those large two front teeth. It will also affect their appearance at the gum line. Get several consultations before proceeding.
Here is something to consider. None ofthe surgeons I refer to place mini implants except temporarily for anchorage purposes for orthodontics .
It is possible to use mini implants but a midsize or standard implant would be preferable. Depending on the level of the smile line cosmetics may be compromised. Just because it is possible does not make it the most ideal treatment. I frequently use mini implants to support anterior bridgework while the standard implants are healing. This gives acceptable short term and superior long term results.
