Liposuction: How long can both procedures take to get done on the same exact day?

Hi. The simple answer is yes both can be done the same day and should.Total time is approximately 1.5 hrs. The thyroid has nothing to do with it and it is deep to the fat. Good luck. Dr. PG

Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well.. This is the surgical procedure that revolutionized cosmetic surgery becoming one of the most performed cosmetic procedures. Subcutaneous tissue or fat is removed in order to contour the body in a way that is harmonious and pleasing to the senses. It can be performed in almost all regions of the body such as the neck, chin, abdomen, back, buttocks, thighs, arms and ankles. Usually done through a small incision in the skin through which a cannula connected to a vacuum is applied, it can be performed alone or in combination with other procedures. After liposuction your body is going to be really swollen for at least 2 to 4 months after your surgery. It is important for you to wear your compression garment for at least 6 months, the first 3 months 24/7 and then the last 3 months at least 12 hours per day for your body get use to not having the faja for so many time. When you remove it, your body can get swollen and also you can have pain. Remember to also compress your body to prevent a seroma which is an accumulation of liquid that has to be drained, it is hard to touch and also really painful. Bruises are completely normal for almost 3 months from surgery, that’s why is better for you to use a bruising cream and apply it all over your body 3 times a day. To prevent bad circulation and swollen legs, use compression socks. Brazilian butt lift can be performed with the same procedure and for a month it will be swollen and it will drop a little bit without losing it’s shape if you use your garment.. If you’re going to perform liposuction on your inner, outer, anterior, lateral, postetior thighs, be careful and consult with your surgeon what’s best for you, sometimes we have more extra skin than fat, that can cause severe sagginess on our legs, which can be only be reversed performing a thigh lift!

VASER Hi Definition Liposuction / Body Contouring with Fat Grafting and Tummy Tuck

In my practice we do a number of treatment areas and procedures (ie like tummy tuck, breast lift) at the same time as hi definition 4d contouring type liposuction. I suggest you see an expert for treatment.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Liposuction of your chin and abdomen could be preformed the same day. The length of surgery depends upon the number of areas treated, the type of anesthesia, and the doctor's speed. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing all your concerns.

Liposuction: How long can both procedures take to get done on the same exact day?

Thank you for your question.  Both of these areas can be safely and effectively treated in the same surgery with the neck adding between 20-30 minutes if only a small amount of fat needs to be removed.  The thyroid gland is not disrupted or affected during this procedure.  As far as timing for the entire procedure this will depend on the amount and type of liposuction you are attempting to achieve on your stomach.  See an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation.

Liposuction under the chin and of the stomach. Time?

Normally both procedures can be performed simultaneously in a very safe and timely manner.  You have the option of being asleep under sedation, general anesthesia or being wide-awake under tumescent local anesthesia. Discuss these options with your board-certified plastic surgeon.
Unless you have extenuating medical circumstances it sounds like this is a very safe anesthetic and procedure for you. Good luck and best wishes.

Surgery time

It would be most common to do them at the same time. Typically the "chin lipo" adds no more than 20-45 minutes to the entire procedure. Your surgeon can give you specific details during a consultation.

Lipo abdomen and chin

Thanks for posting, James_MichaelYes, you can safely have both done on exactly the same day.The thyroid gland is not "touched" during the procedure. The surgery will "last" as long as you maintain a balance of calories in vs. calories out.We have you wear compression garments; the one on the neck should be worn 24/7 for the first week to optimize results. Please see attached web reference.Good luck!

Only an over the internet guess is surgery would take up to 2 hours.. But better you obtain MORE in person opinions from ONLY boarded PSs in private practice  so you can FULLY understand the exact operation that liposuction is .
