Thank you for your question. The least painful hair removal is with the Candela 755 or 1064. Next is the Alma diode which is getting more popular and also has very low pain. All of these are effective at removing hair. Pain is not required for effective treatment. Make certain you are being supervised by a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon during your series for best results and safe treatments. I hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. I have not used this hair removal system in my practice. A wide variety of medical lasers and light systems are used to remove unwanted hair, however most lasers are not effective for all skin types and hair colors. I use the Elos laser hair removal system, which is designed for permanent hair reduction by combining both optical and radiofrequency energy to deliver satisfying, longer lasting results with less discomfort than previous laser systems. All skin and all hair colors including gray and blonde hair are effectively treated. Faces, backs, arms, legs, faces, and bikini lines can be treated including those individuals with darkly pigmented skin. Treatments are administered every 4 weeks and generally 3 to 5 treatments are sufficient. Best of luck!
I use this type of system in my practice - the Soprano XL from Alma lasers. This system is excellent for hair removal in all skin types and can be performed with little to no discomfort at all. I have used it in all skin types from very light to very dark and can usually treat with almost no pain. I highly recommend this laser for hair removal in virtually all areas of the body. Good luck.
I do not think that the laser should affect hair growing 2 inches above the treated area. You may begin to have signs of male pattern baldness. I don't know your age and I didn't see any photos but if it is from the laser, it should re-grow after only one treatment.
Laser hair removal works by targeting pigment in the hair and has nothing to do with blood flow. Topical anesthesia does not negatively impact the treatment at all. Be sure you are seeing an MD if you are not getting the results you anticipate.
Thank you for your question. The package insert advises waiting for 6 months upon completion of Accutane. However, there has not been any research or studies stating it is safe or not safe to do so prior to 6 months. You will need to accept the risk if you do it prior to the...
