What if anything can be done by a young person to help decrease sagging skin/turkey neck in the future?

Assuming they are using sunscreen already. I'm referring to a young person with no sagging who is wondering if he can slow the rate of the sagging/turkey neck down the line

Neck Looseness and the young

So many devices and products promise neck tightening, but few delver. See a board certified plastic surgeon who does a ton of neck lifts and weigh the options carefully. Ask the surgeon; how many proceedures have you done on patients like me last year? Do not settle for vague answers and ask to talk to a patient. You question is valid but it may be too early to consider effective remedies, good luck.

Neck Lift

Thank you for your question. There are additional facial products you can use that may slow the rate of sagging/turkey neck. The most effective approach would be Kybella - an injectable that contours the neck and jawline by removing submental fullness (or turkey neck) - and a Laser Assisted Weekend Necklift. The correct approach is diagnosable based on your age and other factors requiring a consultation with a single or double board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,

How to Prevent Neck Sagging

There are two parts to the inevitable process of aging:  genetics and lifestyle.   Lifestyle factors: Maintaining ideal body weight, avoiding large fluctuations in weight, exercise, a healthy diet, avoiding smoking, and sun smart techniques can help you to age optimally.  However, we are all programmed to age and we either have the gift or curse of the anatomy of our fore bearers.  Some people are born with low hyoid bones, short mandibles, and/or heavy necks and these morphologies tend to exacerbate normal aging changes.  Many of these issues can be addressed with surgery when the timing is appropriate.
