I have a thin face, if I tighten my jawline with a lower lift will this make my face even thinner? I want a tight jawline yet I don't want my face to look too thin, what are my options?
Answer: I have a thin face, if I tighten my jawline with a lower lift, will this make my face even thinner? The goal of a facelift is not to make the face thinner, simply tighten loose facial and neck skin, tighten loose facial and neck muscles, and removed fatty deposits in the neck. CONTACT NOW Answer: Jawline Definition / Jawline Enhancement / Facial Sculpting / Facial Contouring -- injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject on the bone in strategic points to get more lift and shaping, resulting in a more contoured lower face and defined, structured jawline. I would suggest getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Facelift/ necklift Facelifts and neck lifts help tight the jawline and give more definition to the lower face. With a facelift, fat and SMAS muscle in the lower face and lower cheeks are repositioned upward improving the contour and replacing volume back into the upper cheeks. Some patients with thin faces, fat grafting can also be performed to add cheek volume.

Answer: Facelift in thin face Thank for the question. I understand your concern, however, it's usually not an issue if facelift done properly. To have an effective and long-lasting lift, most surgeons believe in tightening the underlying muscle layer, which is known as SMAS. In addition to pulling the skin and tightening the muscle layer, we also use your own fat to fill the specific fat compartments of your face, in what is becoming popularized as "lift and fill" facelift by many authors. Fat grafting to cheeks restores the facial volume, which has been lost with aging. Combining the two is a very powerful tool in facial rejuvenation. I would consult with a plastic surgeon and discuss your specific goals. Please ask your surgeon to show your before and after pictures of his/her patients to get a clear understanding of what is involved in the procedure. Answer: Does facelift makes face thinner? Thank you for your question. People are often concerned that a facelift would excessively change their looks and in some way would even make their face less attractive. This concern was certainly justified with some older facelift techniques that relied primarily on tightening of the skin. However, modern day facelifts are performed in a way that preserve the natural facial appearance. Instead of "tightening" the jawline (this could certainly make the face look thinner), modern facelift would restore your natural jawline contour. Find a plastic surgeon in your area that specializes in facelifts. The doctor should be able to offer you rejuvenation procedure that would make you look your best.Best wishes!Dr. Konstantin
