Is there a limit on how many YAG surgeries I can have to break up vitreous floaters? Is this safer than removing the gel?
I had an initial yag capsulotomy recently to fix a cloudy capsule from an IOL implant for cataracts. However, the circle that was cut was left slightly attached to where I would see a blurry floater over my axis of vision temporarily when looking down then up. After the 2nd YAG, it is not better and sometimes worse. I was told because I am young my vitreous gel is still thick and nothing could be done unless I have the gel removed. Will another YAG be able to safely bust up the fragments more?
