I had lip augmentation done for the first time with an NP using Juvederm Ultra XC. Is the scar tissue from the needle permanent?

The nurse used the Juvederm needle, so when I had my lips plumped a 2nd time (6 mos. later) using Restylane Silk and the doctor used a blunt tip cannula, he said I had a few big "scar balls," or scar issue, in my lips. I would only do this procedure again using the blunt tip cannula method (although I prefer to have my lips permanently plumped via fat transfer). What exactly is scar tissue, and could my first experience have resulted in permanent scar tissue? Is this something to worry about?

Lip Swelling/Bumps After Fillers Such as Juvederm or Restylane -- Reverse With Hyaluronidase

I suggest seeing an expert and/or posting photos.  This can be treated by reversing the filler or injecting steroids if it is truly scar.  Best, Dr. Emer.
