Why do jaw and chin implants get such a bad rep?

I have a three part question. 1. Why do jaw and cheek implant get such a bad rep? 2. Will a rhinoplasty in a anyway improve the appearance of nasolabial folds on my cheeks. When I pull the tip of my nose to mimic the projection I will get after surgery, my nasolabial folds reduce drastically. Will a rhino help with the folds? 3. What are your thoughts on tear trough implants as well as paranasal implants to treat genetically dark/hollow tear troughs and nasolabial folds respectively?
