Will I need a new bridge after a root canal?

Hello ive had this bridge for about 10yrs. The tooth underneath now needs a rootcanal will i have to get a new bridge once the procedure is done?

There are many variables that go into this question. How long is the bridge? How many units? One of the abutment (supporting ) teeth of the bridge is compromised. Is there decay on the tooth under the bridge? Will the bridge be removed prior to the root canal procedure? If the procedure is done while the bridge is still on your teeth,, it may be difficult to remove all decay. You should plan for the possibility that a new bridge may be needed.
