I've read that it is due to stress or an autoimmune disease. I'm not particularly stressed. I live a great life. I was however living in indonesia for work when this began in october 2017 and its progressively gotten worse. Could I have contracted something there? I feel completely fine. Who do I turn to for a proper diagnosis and treatment?

It is safe, but not really advised according to Merck. Try not to let the ladies of childbearing age handle the broken pills.
That being said, I have thousands of patients who had done this for years. The extra 0.25 mg might actually help your hair to grow little bit better....
Make sure to set up an appointment with a hairloss professional. They will be able to observe you in person and give you options that may be out there to help with your specific situation. It’s tough to tell just by pictures alone.
Unfortunately each case is different. There is no way to know exactly how well it will grow back. I would recommend getting back on as soon as you can. Sooner you do this the better the chance of regrowth.
