Can the saddle bags and love handles be treated at the same time?

Doctor Answers 17

This all depends on how big the areas are

SculpSure applicators are 24cm squared in size.  It often takes 2 per love handle or 4 for both sides.  The machine is FDA approved for abdomen and love-handles.  If after appropriate visit and consultation with your doctor you decided saddlebag treatment was right for you there is no reason one applicator couldn't be put there while love-handles received one or do in a series where first love handles were treated then saddlebags were treated 25 minutes each for a total of under an hour for different areas.

SculpSure treatment areas

Thank you for your question. What makes SculpSure such a revolutionary technology is its ability to treat up to 4 areas at one time without side effects or downtime. Depending on the size of your treatment areas, the SculpSure laser will be able to treat your love handles and saddle bags at one time. When you go in for the procedure, you will be fitted for various applicator templates to fit your desired areas. Please view my video for a visual explanation of the templates. If you are interested, please schedule a full in-person consultation with a qualified physician.

SculpSure, love handles and saddle bags

Ok, the applicators are designed to treat an area. e.g.. abdomen and flanks or love handles. However if another area such as saddle bags away from the treated area (love handles) were to be treated, it can all be done in the same day, but not the same time, unless 2 SculpSure machines are used.

Each area takes about 25 minutes to treat- hence your love handles will need 2 SculpSure applicators per side, 4 in total. Now, the Saddle bags may need more than 2 applicators per side. Factor this in, and it may take a total of an hour and a half to do all the regions you mentioned. This can all be done in the same day.

We also can combine treatments - example if your saddle bags do not fit the Coolsculpting applicator we often Sculpsure one area, and Coolsculpt other areas. Some devices do not mix, e.g. Liposonix and Coolsculting as the energy from Liposonix 'jams' the Coolsculpting cycle. It all sounds really complicated, but ideally, you should be assessed as an individual, and treatments tailored accordingly.

This gives the very best non-invasive body contouring results.

All the best

How many areas can be treated with Sculpsure

Sculpsure has 4 applicators that can be applied at a time.  We;ve had Sculpsure since it was introduced and so we have a good deal of experience with multiple treatment areas.  In general the love handles will require 2 applicators per side.  So this would be one session of 25 minutes.  If you wanted your saddle bags treated I would imagine that would require another 2 applicators per side or one more session for 25 minutes.  Saddle bags are very unique to each individual however so I would recommend that you find a local Sculpsure specialist and see what they would recommend.

Multiple areas can be treated at the same time with SculpSure

One of the benefits of SculpSure is it's ability to treat multiple areas in a quick period of time.  With CoolSculpting, each area takes 1 hour and only one area can be treated at a time.  With SculpSure, the treatment time is only 24 minutes and two areas can be treated at a time!  As an example, it would take 2 hours to treat your hips (flanks) with CoolSculpting, with SculpSure it would take only 24 minutes.

Can saddle bags and love handles be treated at the same time

It is an off label use and would depend upon the size area being treated.  There are only 4 applicators generally it takes 2 applicators for love handles and 2 for saddlebags.

Can the saddle bags and love handles be treated at the same time?

Thank you for your question.

Sure they can be done at the same time.  With the Sculpsure laser you receive 4 applicators which are 24cm2 each.  These applicators can be arranged in many different combinations and areas.  You might need to do one treatment of the love handles followed by another treatment of the saddle bags depending on how big the areas are that you want to be treated.  So in total it might take you 50 minutes to treat both areas.  However, please check with your local specialist to make sure you are a good canditdate.

Thank you.

Can the saddle bags and love handles be treated at the same time?

Most patients require two applicators per love hande (4 in total) which would be complete in 25 minutes. Currently, SculpSure is only FDA approved for the abdomen and lovehandles. However, if your doctor sees that it would be appropriate to treat your saddlebags as well that could be completed in another 25 minute procedure. This would make your total treatment time for both your love handles and saddle bags one hour.

Simulanteous treatment areas

With multiple applicator heads it is possible to treat several areas at the same time. Given that each applicator is only about the size of an iphone 5, it's best to seek consultation to evaluate the areas you are interested in treating and whether you'll be able to treat them simultaneously. Good luck!

SculpSure Treating Love Handles & Saddle Bags

Yes, you can have up to four areas treated at one time in 25 minutes.  However, please check with your local specialist to make sure that the pockets of fat need only one of the SculpSure applicators per area to provide you with the best results.

Best of luck,
