Does CoolSculpting remove number (quantity) of fat cells or does it reduce the size of some fat cells?

Doctor Answers 14

This actually a very good question.CoolSculpting actually uses a freezing technology called Cryolipolysis to freeze the fat cells causing them to die.Once the cells die, they cannot regenerate. This makes your CoolSculpting results long-lasting if you maintain a stable weight.I hope this helps.

Coolsculpting and fat cells

Thanks for your question.Actually, CoolSculpting does not reduce the size of the cells, it destroys the individual fat cells. Therefore, the results are long lasting. The cells cannot regenerate. You are only born with a finite number of fat cells, so if our body uses those cells to store fat, they increase in size.CoolSculpting works by essentially destroying those fat cells which are actually storage units.I hope this helps.

CoolSculpting, reduces size or number of fat cells?

CoolSculpting freezes the fat cells.  The fat cells die via a process called apoptosis.  The number of fat cells are therefore reduced.  The body will take these cells up, process them and excrete them, just as any other cell.

CoolSculpting Remove Quantity of Fat Cells

CoolSculpting removes about 20-25% of the fat cells in the area being treated.  It freezes and kills the whole cell itself.

Coolsculpting reduces fat cells

Coolsculpting reduces the number of fat cells permanently.  The remaining fat cells can still get bigger if you gain weight but the ones that have been destroyed will not return.

I hope this answer was helpful. Best wishes.

Does CoolSculpting remove number (quantity) of fat cells or does it reduce the size of some fat cells?

Thank you for your question. Cool sculpting causes fat cell death, which reduces the number of fat cells in the treatment area. These cells are then removed by your body.

Does CoolSculpting Remove Fat or Reduce Fat Cells?

Coolsculpting, or cryolipolysis, freezes and disposes of 25-30% of fat cells in the area treated, where they are then released into the lymphatic system and excreted naturally.

Coolsculpting Fat Cell Elimination

Thank you for your question. Coolsculpting permanently eliminates fat cells. After having a treatment optimal results are typically seen in about 8-12 weeks and one can typically expect at least a 20% reduction of fat in the area treated.

Reduction of Fat Cells with Coolsculpting

Coolsculpting will cause about 20-25% of the fat cells in the treated area to die through a process called apoptosis. The fat cells die in the first two to three days after the coolsculpting procedure. Results can be seen in as early as three weeks but the most dramatic results occur one to three months after the treatment.
