Bleeding After Tattoo Removal, is this normal? (Photo)

Question

This morning I had my first tattoo removal using a Picoway laser. A couple years ago I had a another tattoo removed and don't remember it hurting nearly as much as my treatment earlier today. I changed my clothes and noticed blood had soaked through my bandage. Is this normal or should I be worried? The area appears to have stopped bleeding and feels like a bad sunburn right now. It is not abnormal to have some oozing at the laser sight.  We often see this post procedure and put some xeroform gauze or vaseline gauze over it.  We tell the patients to keep it moist with vaseline for a few days.  It should not be bloody but may ooze some.

Hi, It is common to have some oozing and crusting, occasionally blistering,  after a session of tattoo removal with the Picoway. All of this does settle, we use a hydrocolloid dressing sometimes, where the settings have been on the aggressive side.  From the images, this seems more than 'a little'.  Do get in touch with your derm that did the procedure. I am sure they will be able to help you.
