Juvederm or Restylane work great under the eyes, as long as it is done with great skill, deep under the muscle, and in tiny quantities.  We have patients with excellent correction after two years.

The length of time that Jeuvederm lasts depends on a number of factors such as location it is placed, the technique, type of Jeuvederm (e.g. Jeuvederm vs Jeuvederm Plus vs Jeuvederm Ultra) and other factors such as underlying medical conditions. For example when placed in muscle for lip augmentation (an off label FDA usage) it does not last as long perhaps 6-8 months. In the cheeks and lower eyelids it usually lasts for 6-12 months

Juvederm is sometimes injected into the tear trough  region or what is referred to as the nasojugal groove. this result may last 6 months to  a year depending on what exact product was used.

If you hare having injections under your eyes.  I recommend Restylane rather than Juvederm.  Both are very good products and both are very similar.  However Juvederm is more likely to cause long term swelling under the eyes.

For most people, under eye injections with Restylane last about one year.

When Juvederm is injected underneath the eyelid muscle, it is not unusual to see correction out to twelve months or more. Some individuals seem not to retain much of any filler but most patients maintain a significant amount in this area.
