this is most likely something from your nasal packs. You should re-visit your plastic surgeon so that this and some of the clots can be removed to make your breathing more comfortable.

It is most likely a string of gauze from the packing that just got stuck there, it could possibly be a stitch, but the best thing to do is go see your surgeon and have them clean and check it out. Best of luck. 

Thank you for the question and the photos.  There appears to be quite a bit of material blocking your nasal passages including dried blood.  This dried blood should be cleaned out with saline nasal spray.  I also see the "white string" type of material you have mentioned.  This may be nasal packing.  Your plastic surgeon would know best.  I would contact the plastic surgeons office to verify that the packing, if any, should be removed at this time.  Nasal packing is often removed at the first visit.All the best,Dr. Remus Repta
