I had sublative treatment done yesterday on it's highest setting for scarring. I am very worried after reading really bad reviews about permanent damage/pockmarks/blotchy skin, and skin being "ruined" after treatment. I am a 30yr old olive skinned asian. My partner is 47yrs old, caucasian, very fair & he wants it for his wrinkles. His skin is sensitive. Can you please explain why there is such a huge contrast between reviews? from extremely bad to good? Can it damage your skin?

Very common - especially if high settings are used or if you have sensitive skin. This will fade in time. Baseline photos are good, review at 10 days after and you will see them fade with time. Sometimes grids last 6-8 weeks at most. All the best, Dr Davin Lim . Brisbane Dermatologist, Australia.
It is a rather expensive treatment for cystic acne but there is some data and experience that shows that it is efficacious in treating cystic acne.BestH Karamanoukian MD FACS
