Hi, is it a risk of rhinoplasty, especially osteotomy and a jump being removed, that the shape of the face and cheeks change? Can trauma and the smaller bone structure cause any sagging or changes? Thanks
Answer: Face changes after rhinoplasty Hi squishsquash. Thanks for your question. The most common change after dorsal hump removal and osteotomies is that there is more emphasis on the eyes and less on the nose since the nose is typically smaller. There are no changes to the cheeks or rest of the face. Best Dr H

CONTACT NOW Answer: Changes to the face shape after a rhinoplasty? A properly performed rhinoplasty will not make any changes to the face, only the nose. The dorsal hump can be shaved down and the bridge line refined and the tip narrowed. Osteotomies of the nasal bones do not affect the cheeks. For many examples, please see the link and the video below

Answer: Change the shape of my face The short answer to your questions are no.Sometime when one aspect of our nose is changed it can create the illusion that another area looks a little different. For example, when the profile of a nose is lowered it can create the illusion of a rotation when in reality the nasolabial angle has not changed. However, I am not aware of any circumstances where it will create the illusion of the face changingExamples of my description can be seen in my Rhinoplasty; Everything you need to know about Fixing and Reshaping your Nose available on Amazon

Answer: Changes to face shape after rhinoplasty? Hi, I have performed and taught Rhinoplasty for over 30 years. Rhinoplasty can reduce dorsal humps, thin and refine the nose making it more naturally attractive. As discussed in my book on face and body beauty, a refined nose from a properly performed Rhinoplasty will not attract undue attention to itself allowing the cheeks, eye area and lips to be seen. Following the beauty principles outlined in my book on face and body beauty, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces. Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front. Cheek augmentation with a dermal filler or using cheek implants for a permanent enhancement will create full, round cheeks that will feminize the entire face. In contrast, men look ruggedly handsome with angularity in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles. Cheek augmentation with cheek implants to add angularity to the cheeks and mid face. This would be combined with liposuction to reduce the excess facial fat to further define the cheek shape.Chin augmentation, using a chin implant, to add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face.Augmentation of the mandibular angles using a dermal filler (jaw implants have too many unwanted side effects IMHO) to add volume, angularity and flare to the jaw line.Hope this helps.
