Coughing and sneezing after tummy tuck

At 4 weeks, coughing and sneezing shouldn't put you at risk.  However, it is always good to periodically follow up with your surgeon for an examination to ensure that you are healing properly.

Hi Shrimper.Repeated coughing/sneezing could be a problem and lead to increased pain/discomfort. Speak with your plastic surgeon about ways to reduce the risks of sneezing (allegra/zyrtec/nasal steroid). Sometimes a cough suppressing medication might help too.  Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Hello,It might cause you some discomfort but you're unlikely at 4 weeks out to disrupt too much. Make sure you have a binder or some sort of support over your abdomen when coughing or sneezing as this can help with comfort and with your results.
