Scarring - one year on.

I still have painful red scars . I use creams and silicone gel as well as gel strips. Surely the scars should have faded by now and not have stabbing pains ?

Scars

Scars take 12-18 months before they get better, and some take 2 years.

Some never get better and are hypertrophic , keloid or stretched scars.

Your stabbing pain can be assessed with a pain specialist. Talk to your GP and talk to your surgeon, there might be loads they can do. Don't battle with this by yourself
