'High Grade Dysplastic Nevi' diagnosis with not much additional information given? Worried, on vacation with family.

I had a skin check performed by my regular doctor and 1 mole was removed. It has never changed, it was just very dark brown colored compared to my other moles. I am on vacation and got a call that the mole came back 'high Grade Dysplastic Nevi' and they have referred me to a dermatologist to take more biopsy? Is this pre-melanoma? Melanoma? I'm trying for a second child and all plans are on hold, we are terrified. No family history of melanoma . Fair skinned with no moles to date that changed?
