3 days ago I injected myself with Juvederm. What should I do? Where I can get help?

Dear murko:I recommend that you go ASAP to an emergency room that is associated with a major university medical center having a dermatology or plastic surgery department. Although it may be more convenient to have someone drive you to Albany, from looking at the Albany Medical Center's website it does not appear that the ER there would be able to have a dermatologist on call see you (but you could call and ask to be sure). Closer to you is NYC, where you could go to the emergency room of New York Presbyterian, Columbia, or New York University. When you are seen, the doctor will know what to do but you will want to see a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, or possibly vascular or head and neck surgeon as part of your evaluation. The doctors in NYC may be more experienced with the issues involved.Best of luck to you. This is obviously a very poor idea. It is unknown exactly what was injected. You need to go to the emergency room to get treated. Antibiotics, steroid, surgical drainage are all possibilities. You need a thorough evaluation by an ENT or Plastic Surgeon.
