Thanks for your question. If you don't have any irritation from using the retin-a for a week, you can probably go ahead and start using the sal acid slowly. It also depends on the strength of the salicylic acid, so if it is an over the counter acne cream or wash, that should be fine if it is 1 or 2% sal acid. Anything stronger than that might not be well tolerated and can cause irritation, redness and peeling. Proceed carefully and ask your dermatologist if you have any more specific questions. Good luck!
