Does IPL Cause Accerlerated Skin Aging?

IPL does not cause accelerated skin aging. Temporary darkening of the pigment and redness can occur as well as mild swelling. But ultimately IPL uses light to rejuvenate the skin. It does not accelerate skin aging if done correctly.

Sunbeam87, on the contrary, IPL treatment is used to treat photoaging.  It works best on the reds and browns in your skin secondary to sun damage.  It does not do much to improve wrinkles or texture-but it certainly doesn't cause or aggravate them.  IPL is visible light and has no Ultraviolet which is the cause of those surface changes.  That is why you should be using a sunscreen which blocks UVA on a daily basis.  Your dermatologist can help you choose the appropriate product for you.
