There are many times in our NYC practice, that I see a very good draw of the skin and fat into the applicator of the CoolSculpting and the normal cycle of freezing is applied and the patient feels no pain or numbness. A lack of these symptoms do not indicate one won't get a good response if they don't experience discomfort or noti feel numb skin. Some patients do not have side effects, and the second treatment for many patients have fewer side effects than the first.
You are fortunate that you had no side effects from the treatment. I have seen great results in patients like you, and the great thing about cryolipolysis is that it provides consistent, reproducible results in every patient.I hope you were pleased with your results!
Thank you for your question. I do not know what was performed the first time or the second time in regards to your coolsculpting treatment but just because the symptoms are not present the 2nd time does not necessarily suggest that the procedure was performed incorrectly. Be patient to see the results. If you have more questions, I would suggest talking to your treating physician. Best Wishes.
The absence of symptoms such as absence of pain or numbness has not impact on success of treatment.

It is not only possible but advisable to treat multiple areas during your CoolSculpting session. Each area takes about one hour, so for three areas your session would probably run about three hours. If you're like most patients, you shouldn't have any downtime afterwards and can return to y...
CoolSculpting has FDA approval for fat reduction since 2010. CoolSculpting freezes the fat cells. Fat cells are more susceptible to damage by freezing than the other cells, (nerve, vessel, bone, etc.), around them. The fat cells die via a process called apoptosis, (programmed cell death). The...
Thank you for your question. Coolsculpting is a very safe procedure. However, all treatments have potential side effects, although with Coolsculpting they are very unlikely to occur. Your treating physician should discuss all potential side effects and expectations before your procedure. I hope...
Thank you for your question and photos. Temporary numbness is common after the Coolsculpting. It is not uncommon to have delayed onset of pain around 5 days after Coolsculpting. The discomfort is due to inflammation of the tissue. Not everyone has pain or numbness. The intermittent discom...
Lumpiness after Zeltiq CoolSculpting is not uncommon but is usually felt more readily than seen and is temporary during the inflammatory period for the first few to several months after the procedure as the body starts to degrade the dead fat cells. Uneveness can occur from a preexisting...
