I believe use of topical tretinoins should be safe if you are on low dose steroids. Just remember, that you can taper the use of topical tretinoins if you notice that you are peeling excessively; the steroids can make you skin thinner long term, but should not aggravate your topical therapy; if you are peeling excesslively, you can taper down from every night to every other night, or even every third night, for example.
