How long does it take for all the swelling to disappear following blepharoplasty?

Thank you for asking your question. It takes 6 to 12 months for all the swelling to resolve following blepharoplasty. The scar takes that long to fully heal as well. I hope this helps.
Good luck,

Blepharoplasty swelling

Swelling after blepharoplasty varies from person to person and also depends on each persons post op care with ice and elevation. Many patients have the worst of the swelling gone 5-7 days, but the last of the swelling may hang around for a few weeks. There is a common rim of swelling and bruising that often persists under the lower lid right at the orbital rim. Sometimes it is the last to go after a few weeks. Good luck.
